toshiba L450D microphone

    This mic used to work and suddenly stopped.
    I can see it in control panel/sound but the little green bar next to it does not move...... it will flick quickly and then nothing after that. This mic is not muted i have updated all the drivers for it and have uninstalled and reinstalled and still it wont work
    I am using windows 7
    Any help appreciated -thanks :confused
