Toshiba Laptop A135-2386 wireless lan problem

    ok i do not have alot money and last night i got my computer back from a friend you somehow downloaded a program and caused my computer to crash... so i got rid of vista and downloaded Xp Pro and my wireless lan switch is on but the computer is not registering i have wifi and is making me connect directly to the modem thoughts? solution? please someone hlep

    Hi

    Try this XP Atheros XP SP2 driver from Toshiba, for another model Laptop, but may work.

    Problem arrises when your model laptop supports Vista drivers and not XP, your crash of Vista was likely due to what your friend installed and not the OS, so may not have needed to resort to XP.

    But also install the Chipset driver first if you have not already then the WiFi driver, this is the ATi 200m chipset for again another Toshiba laptop http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/sl25atividx.exe


    Also in Device Manager do you have many Yellow ! marks? if so by what devices.

    no when he downloaded w/e he did it had weeded itself into vista to where to the computer wouldnt boot up and it just had a blue screen of death
    i fixed and am now on Xp sp3 and hopefully able to get my wifi going

    i found my vista disc so i am installing it any help on getting my wifi driver back this time?

    or if you have the original driver CD that came with laptop then thats good also.
