    Hi All,

I'm new to the site; just signed up because I need some major help (no pun intended).

I have a Toshiba Satellite C855d, which is using Windows 8 (8.1 now).

The graphics card is an AMD one.

The problem I have is nothing seems to work properly. The computer is slow and suffers slight freezing from time to time, Skype does not work properly, and none of the media players seem to work quite right. Also, none of the games I have run properly (these suffer most).

From what I seem to have read, a lot of programs just don't run properly on Windows 8. I don't know what I can or should do.

Any experience with these issues or advice?

Something else is going on. It does help if you stated the exact model of the laptop, then just stating that it is the AMD one. There are three different AMD APU/CPU's that Toshiba uses.

Download Speccy and post the URL that it gives after you run the software.

Yeah, I guess that would be helpful. Sorry :)

    AMD dual core E1-1200 processor.
    1.4GHz processor speed.
    6GB DDR3 RAM memory.
    750GB SATA hard drive.
    Microsoft Windows 8.

AMD Radeon HD 7310 graphics card with 1971MB memory.

Hope this helps. As I said, I don't know if it is the AMD side of things, or the windows 8 side of things that are causing the problem. But I think (I can't be sure) but I think things were more or less ok before updating to Windows 8.1.

Thanks for this; I already had them installed, but tried again anyway. Nothing changed for me. I think I will have to do a clean uninstall on everything using driver sweeper and try again.

    Any other suggestions?

I wiped everything and started again... Everything seems to be ok now, except for games, where every game I try stutters terribly. Please can someone help me?
