    hello

i am having a problem with my toshiba satellite a30 laptop.

it is running fine when not being pushed hard.

but as soon as i start to drive the processor hard the machine just switches itself off...

    not good.

i think a fan must be broken somewhere?

    any tips?

Most obvious prob would be accumulation of dust,so get some canned air and clean out all the fans and vents,no easy way of finding if one of the fans is broken other than to remove the covers and have a look,if one of your fans is dead it would be pretty apparent when looking at the temp readings download this prog and check all your temps dont worry if theres a flame next to any of them as its set to 50c anything below 60 should be OK

Next run this prog while monitoring your temps if your cpu was overheating this should crash it,if it doesnt after half an hour your prob maybe software related
