Totally lost with Ubuntu

    I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my home computer and want to start folding on it, console only if it's possible, but I don't know how to install, or which to download.. Anyone?

    I had it running, but it didn't seem right, and it kept needing me to connect it, hit c to connect.. I'll keep folding on my work computer over night, and all weekend, until I get more comfortable with Linux, and then I'll run it at home too.. At least I'm using one computer, you know...
