I have taken the Major Geeks advice for installing Avira antivirus program.

The reason for a change from Comodo was 1.) Comodo no longer even shows up as recommended (and for the obvious reasons of being intrusive with Geek Buddies and whatnot) 2.) I was getting too much disk activity when no programs were going and thus overheating my HD.

After installing Avira it immediately started popping up a message about TR Rogue. I do not trust E-hows and so on to give me the straight on this.

Please advise on the procedure to get rid of TR Rogue. A couple months ago I went through the whole suite of Malware removal at Major Geeks.

Attach the log from Avira so we can see what it is complaining about.

I've removed Avira. It was way too irrititating-- and red besides. I dislike things that overly red.

It stopped at something called nero11v2.exe which I have removed from the system.
What seems to be going on was Aviara was reading a lot of files at some location for a program I use rarely if at all on this machine. I have my original Nero disk and product number and I will reinstall that.

What I will do is move on to the other recommended anti virus program and see if that is less 'red' and Scans and the whole disk.
