Tracking an a$$hole

Ok heres what im after and maybe someone here can help me out.
There is a forum where people are slamming me. I want to figure out who those posters are. Is there a program that can pull up their ip addy, or some other info so I can trace them.?

 

don't waste your energy on people you don't know, never met and probably will never meet. I've been doing the message board deal since '99. Ran my own for a while and have helped others with running theirs. Take my word for it, PLEASE, it's just not worth the effort. Everyone has keyboard muscles. Forget them, and find a new forum.

 

actually I do know these people in RL. They are supposed friends. The web site they are at are from my area and its for our group. I want to know which of these peeps i can trust and which i cant. thats why i want to do a trace on them.

 

even if you could get their IP address, the best you can do is trace it to their ISP. It won't give you their name or anything like that. I'd say put them all in the no-trust category and make your life that much less complicated.

 

Take it from an old, old man: There is no such thing as "supposed friends". They either ARE your friends or they ARE NOT your friends. Anything in between is wishy-washy and childish. You feeling the need to track them is a BIG red flag. Real friends don't need to be tracked. Don't bother...get on with your life. This is especially true of so-called "cyber friends".
