What are these and why do I keep getting them? I have a program called, "Xoftspy Pareto Logic" and it scans/removes all badware. The only thing I do on my computer is check my email (at the Northern Arizona University website and at yahoo.com) I also go on AIM. But other than that, I go on eBay and do an occasional google search for school (but not very often!) Why do I keep getting at least one tracking cookie every day that I scan using Xoftspy? I have no music sharing programs or anything. Is there something I have that is installing spyware?

Tracking cookies are cookies placed by most websites, usually to set your preferences, remember when you were there last, etc. Rarely to never are they harmless. This explains it well:

I never heard of Xoftspy Pareto Logic, maybe try something with a better rep like Ad-Aware or Spybot.
