Hi again. I have now successfully used the 'file and settings transfer' wizard to get my files back after reformatting and reinstalling XP. The only difficulty I seem to have is that I had hoped to be able to access my 'old' e-mails, address book, contacts, etc, but cannot do so. Is it possible, ie. am I not doing something I should, or have I lost it.
I really do appreciate the help I am being given! Thanks again.:)

Which email program are you using? By default, the wizard only transfers Outlook Express mail info. If you use a different email program, you would have to tell the wizard to use custom settings, and then specify while files contain your emails, contacts, etc..

Yes I'm using Oulook Express, but I don't know how to access the transferred info. Should it have 'magically' appeared back into my re-installed Outlook Express when transferring, or do I need to do something to 'open' the transferred file?:confuseds

Someone with more experience with the Wizard is going to have to help you with getting to the mail data, as I haven't personally done it.

Can anyone suggest how I can access this e-mail data after transferring over using the 'Transfer Files and Settings' wizard in XP?
