Transferring Data from old computer to new one

Hello every one
I have just purchaced a new computer, please can some one tell me how to transfer my files, documents, Photo's and music to my new computer from my old computer.

You could get an external hard drive to transfer the files. There are also programs you can purchase along with serial cables to do the job. I would suggest the external hard drive, you can use it for more than just transferring files and it is probably about the same price

USB Flash Drive?

They are cheaper and more versatile.

 

Networks. Then the remote hard drive becomes same as local.

I have gone for the external hard drive option, But on saying that networking looks very good to me, This is some thing I will set up in the very near future
I will look out for some books/information in this area.
