The application that I am seeking is not a toolbar or item fron the taskbar.

It is a transparent menu on the desktop; essentially replacing the icons and gaining back the real estate of my display.

Fluxbox has some great screenshots, however, this is all Linux.

    Found one.

Works awesome for 9.x and no flash of desktop icons ... sweet.

The program is a shareware called NextStep.

    1. Its shareware ...
    2. Problem with icons flashing on the desktop still.

I resolved this using the freeware program called Madonote 2004.

This was located from a link at virtualplastic.net.

Other than that I am searching for a freeware program still which Im currently looking in shellcity.net.
