Trend Towards Glossy Tv Screens

    I bought a new 32 inch LG Smart TV, which does everything except making coffee, but it has a glossy screen which reflects window shine and all other light sources.

    For years my TV has had a lovely non-reflective plasma/matte screen like my computer, but not any more.
    Ah well, that's called progress I suppose.

    Well, they've got to have something to advertise.... Same with 3d and curved screens. Now I will admit that a curved monitor is nice to have, especially with autocad or gis software, but a curved tv just has no purpose.

    Glossy screens have at least one benefit - with my TV off, I can see my back patio and all my back garden.
