Tribes 1 Players

can't even get in.. day off.. night off.. I want to kill something..

 

This is cool. I have had Last Hope downloaded for a while. Wasn't sure how to go about implementing it. I better figure it out then.

 

rename your old TRIBES.EXE and paste the last hope exe in it's place.

 

Got about 45 minutes of tribes in... I'm all practiced up..

 

DSL is supposed to be turned on today. Might be seeing my sorry, pathetic, and rusty old self in game soon.

Haven't played this in forever.

 

It was like riding a bike man.. I hopped in a renegades game and came in 2nd place. I entered the game with 18 minutes left.

i can't connect to the server. it says i'm missing a bunch of .ted files, and a .vol file.

 

did you install 1.11 patch?

 

i can connect to the regular server. it's the last hope server that hates me.

 

Reinstalling Tribes didn't work either.

 

could someone give me the missing files because i don't seem to have them?

Could you let us know what you did to get it to work in case anyone in the future runs into this problem?

On a sidenote, its a damn shame how few people seem to want to play when they can't cheat. And it's not because they haven't downloaded the patch. Buncha people were on there for a while and then bounced. It's a damn sad commentary. I thought playing the same 5 maps over and over again was bad. This is pathetic.

 

I think MA changed something on the server.. it happend to me other day and then blamo.. I was on with out doing a damn thing.

No one is getting in the Last Hope server. Every now and then I jump in and run around hoping people will join.

I did some watching the last few days. Most of the people, not all, who don't like the map changes, who wont play other maps, C&H, D&D or even desert of death. If you pay attention to who they are when they protest. Then go find them later, they are the ones who usually(not all the time, just odds are) go heavy and spawn kill and base ****. It seems most don't want to be taken out of their comfy little situations and have to earn their kills. And at the end of the round, get 70 or more kills and start congratulating themselves and each other. Big Whoop.

The server is running those weird maps that nobody has again.......

Really? Hadn't noticed. Nobody on there wants to get out of the 5 'classics'.

Nobody plays on there because apparently they have to cheat in order to play. The game turned to a completely dishonorable whore match. My how things have changed...

 

Both servers are running the same choice of maps, unless I'm mistaken.

OK. Can somebody tell me how to get the paks for chat spamming, such as 'Hiya, howya doin? hiya! howya doin...' and such. I did an internet search for scripts on Tribes 1 and was overwhelmed with how many search results I got. I couldn't tell what pack is what I'm looking for. Can anyone gimme a clue?

I've recently downloaded and implemented the 'Last hope' patch for the game.
However, The Server has a password and I'm unable to join up.
I'm really hoping to get in on the MajorGeeks server.
After reading through all the posts, I belive its the type of server I'd want to partake in. I'm getting so SO tired of all these different Mod games as well as the people who seem to be the ONLY ones that know how you utalize these Mods.
I played Tribes1 almost religiously for about 2 years, once Tribes 2 came out, it wasnt long before I lost interest in Tribes.. In fact I thought Tribes1 finaly officialy died.
It wasnt until I came to MajorGeeks.com that my interest in playing Tribes 1 returned.
PLEASE let me join up with the MG server.

Their are two Major Geeks servers. One is the Last Hope one. And the other is the free-for-all cheaters delight special. This is probably the server you were trying to get into, as the Last Hope server is hardly ever used probably for the reasons Kodo mentioned a couple posts earlier.

The server only needs a password after 30 people are in it, for the 2 reserved admin spots.

 

Oh, I see.

So the password needed for that server is basicaly so the admins can join up vs. just regular folks like me?
