tribualfusion.com and majorgeeks

    Im not sure where to post this, BUT... here goes. I was updating my ad-aware software and discovered I had malware. The malware was tribualfusion. (classed as such by ad aware). I scan each time I go off line and have been clean. Until today. The only site I was on was majorgeeks where I downloaded Ad-aware and the add ons. when I did the scan that follows installation, it showed I had tribualfusion trackers. I quarantined and deleted. Went to several other sites online, checked my temp files and nothing. Then I went to Majorgeeks and bam! I had tribualfusion. I did this 3 different times just to be sure and its definitely coming from Majorgeeks. I also did a search on tribualfusion to see what it is and its an ad and downloading tracking site. I've never had a prob at Majorgeeks before. What's up and what do I do about this?

    On the subject of cookies – it has become vogue to block them as trackers and quite frankly that is ridiculous. In the case of Tribal Fusions, tracking cookies are only for the delivery of the best ad it the right format and time, other wise you would see the same thing over and over. It is also used for geo-targeting and that sort of thing. They do not collect any of the data. So blocking it is to the users’ disadvantage. Let’s say a site has popunder code loaded for every 24 hours, that is tracked by a cookie – if you kill it, the advertiser doesn’t know you have seen the ad and you get a pop every page…
