trillian problem

Does anyone out there know anything about a chat client called Trillian? I've been using it for a while, but recently when I try to click on the "mail" link (which should load up yahoo or hotmail on my browser), it opens notepad with a bunch of code written on it instead. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I tried reinstalling the program, but it seems to be storing info about itself somewhere on the computer because when I reinstall, it automatically reloads my yahoo and hotmail information without me inputting it.
I checked the user profiles in the "documents and settings" folder, but it's not leaving anything in there. I'm running Windows XP Pro, and my browser is Mozilla 1.0.7
Any help would be much appreciated.
