tring to transfer files

    tring to transfer files from comp. hd to a simpletec 500g usb hd to back up.
    says anything over 4g is to large for destination file. is fat 32 any help??:confused

    Hi old timey, it sounds like you need to format the HDD to NTFS before transferring your files to it because FAT can't handle files over 4GB.

    TIP: DON'T use the "Quick format" option! it's worth waiting the extra 5-10 mins... Trust me ;)
