    Trouble viewing some web pages

Ok i guys and gals i need some help here, i am about too through my PC out the window.

    My problem is as follows:

I can only access the front pages of web sites and can't veiw anything else after that.

    This is a clean install of WinXp pro, the only things that i have installed are as follows;
    1) installed WinXp pro
    2) installed motherboard Driver so that it reconises my 2 other HD's, and LAN card
    3) installed Sound Card drivers.
    4) installed Mozzila Firefox
    5) installed Kaspersky Internet Securtiy Suite 7.135

i can update KIS but like i said i can do much more then what i have mentioned above. Any help that can get will be much appriated.

i think it might be a RAM prob, i still have yet to run MEMTEST86

Note : I should also not that i changed the HD on this system because explorer.exe would restart every couple of minutes...and i also started to have the same problem on the Other HD as i am having with this one. What is even wierder is that after i installed Windows i was able to update windows through Windows update but once i installed KIS i can't get it to run again. One of the major sites that i can't get access to is Yahoo.com

Thanks in advace.....hope i am posting in the right forum

Remove KIS and see if it fixes your problem.

sounds like KIS is your culprit blocking the windows updates.. sa for the internet pages... make sure there isnt any setting in KIS marking different pages under the parental controls or anything like that..

im just guessing here because i have never used KIS.. but it sounds like KIS is doing something funny there...

ok excuse my lack of understanding.. but you did say you got all the updates? or are you still missing some? if you are missing some try to get them again via the windows update tool in the start menu under all programs.. and let us know which ones fail...

Just trying to understand exactly what's happening... Can you get to any page on MSN or JUST the front page? Like, can you click on a link on the MSN website and it work?

And you can't access even the front page for yahoo.com?

Are there any other computers using the same internet connection? If so, can these computers view all websites correctly?

hmm.. are you sure your back running then? sounds like you may be loading msn from cache.. can you do a search from google and load a random page you have never seen before?

if so then forget im even posting.. xD

edit: haha we posted at the exact same time.. guess great minds think alike eh unbanable?
