My computer seemed to be running slower than usual so I ran a TrendMicro scan and it found 3 non-cleanable files:

    TROJ DELF.AR C:\TEMP\Installer2.exe
    TROJ SCTHOUGHT.L C:\WINNT\system32\install2.exe.tcf
    TROJ DYFUCA.M C:\WINNT\nem219.dll

I haven't clicked to delete them before I asked for advice (still have TrendMicro open until I decide what action is best).

Also, I periodically run antivirus and spyware scans and most times I don't find anything, or something kinda annoying, but not serious. For the past few months explorer has been a bit of a pain for me. A lot of times when I click to open an explorer window it freezes up and you have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to end the process. Sometimes it takes several times of doing this before you can actually get a window to open successfully. When it freezes the window just stays white, or gets frozen minimized on the taskbar. Could this be spyware/virus related - or is there maybe a patch I need to download to correct the problem? This problem occurs even when my system shows clear with Spybot, AdAware, Webroot Spy Sweeper, TrendMicro, PCpitstop scans, McAfee (note - what is up with McAfee - in my experience I have found it to be a piece of sh!t - I have more success with online free scans), etc

    Appreciate any advice, thanks!

    Hi Jenny,

    What is your OS?

Go ahead and delete the trojans if you are able. I suggest that you then run through this tutorial:
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
It is not as daunting as it looks :)

Note the steps you can and cannot perform. Make sure all of your removal tools are Up To Date. Note to boot in Safe Mode with System Restore Off (if you have it).
I realize you have done some of these steps already, but it will help us if you redo them as per the tutorial.

You may need to try the steps in the Alternative Scans - If still having problems section of the tutorial. (Namely the Trojan Related steps)

Post back and let us know how things shook out and we'll go from there ;)

    Best luck,

    PP

See if you can delete them while in safe mode. As stated in previous messages above, running A2 in safe mode is a good way to get rid of trojans. Then disable system restore, reboot, and then re-enable system restore, to make sure no infections are hiding in your restore folders. Good luck.
