    Hi,

    You dont say which OS you are using but I have checked on Win XP Home and the file you mention is not there. DOnt click it or you will start the virus doing whatever it is set to do. I would delete it after taking a copy just in case

    I love Avast and it has saved me on many occasions. When Avast moves a nasty to the chest it also neutralizes it by altering it so that it cannot function as it was originally intended and allows it to be safely sent to Avast HQ for ID in event its a newbie. If you don't want to post it back to Avast just delete it from the chest.
    Cheers

    Thank you both for your response.
    >Avast just found another one.With two files infected.

    >C:\DOCUME~1\nancy\LOCALS~1\Temp\asw8.tmp\5.exe\systb.dll Win32:Trojan-gen. {Other}

    >I just selected delete, because I didn't know what else to do. I tried using Avast in safe mode, but it wouldn't let me gain access to the quarentine folder, I just kept getting an error message.

    >I can't even get on the forums in Avast because at some point I must have been given a user name and password, but I don't remember either of them. They only offer help if you have forgotten your password,not username.
    Thanks just the same.

    since we are on the subject of trojans, i got trojan.qhost and norton quarantined it and i deleted it, but every time i start up now and when i log on the internet for the first time on a start up, both times i get a virus alert.
    also norton cannot make the repair. i have run the removal tool from symantec but it didnt find anything.
    (running xp.)
