Hello, as many others, I've got a sweet trojan horse Agent_r.xj infection. I am sorry for posting another thread about this, but I'm close to tears and don't get anything about what I read about you selusions.

I don't know anything about computers, actually. I have read all the threads about trojan horse agent you have here, but nothing seems to help me, whatever I try.

I live in Paris at the moment (I am swedish) and all my "fixing-discs" are at home, so I can't reinstall the system as far as I know. I don't have exit to another computer.

I have tried TDSS killer, stops at 80%, tried Ad-Aware, Malwarebytes anti-malware, superantispyware, spyware doctor, emsisoft antimalware, trojan remover (does not install..) trojan killer and AVG of course.
Nothing tracks the virus down. And when I try to do my computer in safe mode, it shuts it self down(!) I have Windows Vista.

What am I suppose to do?
Please help me, you're kind of my last hope =/

Don't apologise, you should always start your own thread. So you did the right thing.

I am hoping what I will have you try will do the trick.

Do you have your Vista install disc? If not:

    Vista and Win7 Recovery disc

    For fixing the boot issues:
To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Put the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. Press a key when you are prompted.
    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
    4. Click Repair your computer.
    5. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
    6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.
    7. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

    Then you can do this:

    Bootrec.exe /fixmbr

Now try and run TDSSKiller and attach the log.

I will tell as soon as I've tried this!
Again, thank you so much =)

now i got the disc, it's a reinstallation of windows vista, i think at least! It's the one I made after I bought the computer. What to I do now, I tried to put it inside the computer when I stated it, but the disc do not respond! I have read some about "boot" and BIOS and stuff, but I don't know what it is...

Did you download and use the current version? The older version will stop at 80% with this infection but the newest version has been running all the way and it has been removing the infection. If you did not just re-download the version in my link then try again.

    You're welcome.

I suggest that you attach the log from TDSSKiller that you have right now. Then so that we can be sure that the infection was really removed, make sure that you have rebooted your PC, and run another scan with TDSSKiller so that we can see it comes up clean.
