trojan problem

This is my first time posting a message and hopefully someone can help me.

Just recently a screen popped up saying I had a virus and I ignored it, but now it pops up more often and it's pissing me off. But anyways, I did a virus scan with AVG (which it's up to date). I try to move it to the vault, it says it can't. So I downloaded Anti Trojan Elite. it says it can't "kill" it unless I register it, and I don't have a registartion #, and I was looking around on mgeek.com for something to download to help. so anything you can give me would help.
