trojan ?

i keep geting returned e-mail's from hotmail from addy's i never even heard of . i ran avg and it picked up nothing . do i need to do a trojan scan ? if so any one in particular ?

thanks for help but i'm not sure if it is even a trojan . but in my hotmail account i keep getting these returned mail's from addy's that i never even heard of and it's like they were sent from me but i never sent anything to these addy's . they say something like "RETURNED MAIL UNKOWN ADDRESS"

 

try an online virus checker, avg might have missed it

If the virus scans are clean, it's probably just one of the newer viruses that spoof the sender's address (somebody ELSE that just has your email addy on their system, which the virus grabs & shows as the sender). Annoying, but if that's the case, you're not infected. Just delete the return messages, and hope that whoever it is that's actually infected gets it cleaned up soon.

yeah i also get returned emails from people i dont know but lucky nortons picks it up as the "test" virus . so i am wondering if my server has the virus or someone that has my email has got it . i get +- 5 emails a day with the "test" virus
