Anyone firmiliar with Nero V 6.6 Cover designer??

I am trying to print some disc labels and the calibration for the printer is giving me nightmares!! I get it absolutely perfect...choose all the correct settings, including the proper paper code for the different manufacturers, and no matter what I do it comes out about an eighth of an inch off!! I've even tried to compensate for the errors and it then goes from one extreme to another!!

Now here is where it gets really frustrating!! Ofcourse you don't want to use up all your labels trying to calibrate it so...being that the labels are on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper...I thought, well...I'll print it on a regular piece of paper, hold it up to the light, and you can see through both pieces enought to see if it is lining up properly with the peel off label itself. Great...I do it on regular paper, either once or four or five times, and it is perfect...but the minute I put the label paper in, and print it...we're right back to square one!!!! Something has got to give!?!?!

So then I decided to use the little handy dandy software that came with the Memorex labels...Still...the exact same story!!

Hmmm... have you tried maybe configuring your printer to use the correct media?

Its in printing preferences dialog, available on the general tab of the printer properties.

I've checked and rechecked all my settings!!

I did notice that I was using the paper setting "Memorex 3202-0415"...and the number on my labels are 3202-0412...so I'm thinking that could have something to do with it, however...I can't seem to find any feature to import more paper styles, or update the paper styles...and even if that is an option...would the download be on the memorex site or the nero site...or can you even import/update new paper styles in nero??

    Thanks JP!!

You help me in an interesting way!! Upon measuring the labels in order to create my own paperstock...I noticed that the labels are defective!!!!

When I measured the top left circle, I found it was 14mm from the top and 14mm from the side. When I measured the bottom right circle, I found it was 14mm from the side, but 18 mm from the bottom!! Almost a half of a centimeter further from the edge than the other circle!!!! So obviously this would keep you from flipping the label around and being able to use both disc labels!! So then I got on the Memorex website and called the help line...and the guy that I talked to, also said they should be evenly placed, AND...The circles are supposed to be 4.5 inches in diameter, and mine are 4 and 5/8!!!!

So now I've submitted the warrenty form on their website, and we'll just have to sit back and wait!!!!

And to think I've been fighting this frigging issue for about three weeks now!!!!

Is there an "Other Brochure Papers" selection, instead of "Automatic" in the paper selection? Try that.
