In OE, go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder, and it will show you the folder path for that Identity. In that folder each .dbx file corresponds to one of your folders in OE.

Also, in order to browse to it, you may have to show hidden files and folders. I believe the default mail folder is in some such folders.

Open My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View: Towards the middle of the scrolling box there is a radio button that says "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Make sure that is checked.

for thsoe that still wish to do it by hand (me, don't like oebackup) the mail folders are located in the documents and settings folder.
usually inside a hidden folder named local settings\application data\identities\microsoft\

follow the path from there, as depending on how many OE identities you have you can have more than one folder, also, they are typically named seomthing that has brackets at the beginning and end like this "{xxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx}"
