Trouble setting up a SATA card

I am trying to install a SATA card on my Windows XP PC. The BIOS boots up and sees the drives no problem. Then it boots from my Windows XP CD. I press F6 in the beginning and when it asks for the SATA drivers I put in the floppy I made from the CD that came with the motherboard. It recognizes the drivers on the floppy. I select the drives, but when I continue to setup windows it says that it cannot find any hard drives. I think that it must be some sort of hardware problem i.e. jumpers not set right, but this is well beyond my expertise. If anyone can think of a possible solution please tell me.

One simple question, have you considered not putting the floppy in? Im not sure about your particular hardware, but a lot of computers dont need these drivers to install anymore, at least quite a few of mine do not.

I tried it without the floppy, and I get the exact same "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer" message.

Next step would be to go to your board manufacturers website and look for an updated driver. This all assumes that you have them plugged in and jumpered properly, ie, you can see them in the BIOS.

The newest drivers worked just fine. Thanks a lot for the advice.
