   My hp 840 c deskjet printer has the orange cartridge light which is blinking. I have tried resetting both cartridges without positive results. Does any one have an suggestions/

   A couple of things:

   The orange light blinks on my HP 5550. I ignore it and continue printing - for weeks. I assume it is trying to tell me it wants a new cartridge but I refuse to replace it until I notice the print degrading.
