"TrueBurner" CD/DVD burning software

On today's MG front page (Sept 17 2010) I see we have a "new" burning program called True Burner. I looked at the screen shot and said to myself "there's been some type of mixup; I'll download and install it just to check the screen shot against the actual program, then I'll tell the MG admins that the screen shot is wrong". So I downloaded and installed it. The screen shot was NOT wrong! This program is identical to older versions of BurnAware Free. When I say "identical", I really do mean "identical". The GUI is the same, the full functionality is the same. The only difference is that True Burner has the Bing toolbar bundled, and the older versions of BurnAware Free had the Ask toolbar bundled. True Burner is free, and from what I remember, the older versions of BurnAware Free worked fairly well except that it didn't do a great job of erasing RW discs (it said that the disc had been erased, but it didn't actually erase anything), and had problems burning some ISO image files (not all ISOs, just some of 'em). So- where am I going with all this?

Uhhhhh.... I'm not sure where I'm going with all this, but I did find it odd that the old version of BurnAware Free has been "rebundled" with a different toolbar and re-released as True Burner.

 

Thanks for sharing, i recently installed it (first link dl for MG doesn't work i used 2nd one) and i saw a clean interface, it really seems like an old program so i'll use it 'till get broken .

Nice options order in GUI i really like that, i've been using InfraRecorder so let's check this one, also seems more complete than IR.
