It happens to all companies at times, just have to think of the amount of effort that it put into hacking the likes of Microsoft, UK Gov, US Gov agencies, NASA, FBI, Pentagon as Phantom stated....

They hit what would likely be a softer target in MS UK, likely someone didnt patch something and one hack got through, but to say do we trust them, well thats a personal thing, but I will say whos operating system are you using?

Good of them to come forward tho and explain how it happened.

 

cyberterrorism is also on the up as its a good way to project the message, as in this case it seems it was just that, kinda a safe-ish with no loss of live way to say "down with the infidels"

Also shows the pros are not infallable either, so shows we all have to be alert in security matters, and safe surf as who knows what you mabe downloading, you may think its Paris Hiltons jail video, but in reality its a trojan that makes your PC into a Zombie/bot and part of a larger network can then be used to attack a system with a DDoS attack.
