I dragged and dropped the files onto the drive in explorer, it automaticaly formated the drive first, then burned the files to disk.

When i pressed eject it said that it needed to close the session to make the disk readable on a pc then it ejected.

I put the disk back into the same machine and it read it fine...all good.

Then i take it to a different comp(xp pro) that i wanna transfer files too,
and it doent read, it says that the disk is corrupt and couldnt be read.

What could i be doing wrong? Surley buring a data disk nowadays should be
a doddle but it appears not to be.

    Thanks

Have just found this guidance in Help & Support on Vista OS

To burn a disc using the Mastered format
Choose the Mastered format when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in media devices such as CD and DVD players that can read digital music and video files. For more information about choosing a disc format, see Which CD or DVD format should I use?

Did you choose this option as it appears this should enable the disc to be read in XP.
