im hoping someone can help me. I have an .iso file of a vista 64bit OS. i am trying to install it on my computer. but i do not have the capabilities to burn it to a dvd. I am currently running a 32 bit vista OS. and before anyone asks, yes, my computer is 64 bit capable. ive tried virtual machine and it wont run it. im guessing cause its on a 32 bit OS. and i tried virtualbox. and it said the same thing. it cant run it because im not on a 64 bit os. i have checked and rechecked my system. it is 64 bit capable. i have read that you can install .iso files without burning them. i just cant figure out how. or if its possible to install the 64 bit to a 32 bit. i want to get rid of the 32 bit OS all together. i dont want a duel boot setup. my current system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ with 4 gigs of ram. im trying to install Vista Black Eternity based on Vista Ultimate 64 bit. now i have also used Winrar and double clicked the iso file and it loads it. and gives me the option to install. but as soon as i click the install nothing happens. so again. any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, i dont think it matters but i can burn CD's. thanks everyone, and hope you all have a good Halloween. signed, the newb :cool

I think you have to burn it to a DVD in order to install it. When installing/formatting it needs to read from a source and it cant read from the hard drive as you are wiping it.

This is a pirated and highly customized version of Windows, and these are widely known to contain malware. Even if it's clean, you're likely to run into problems. Besides, we don't provide help with stolen software.

well i appreciate your alls help. ive been looking up different ways n such. but i just found it easier to just upgrade my CD burner to a DVD burner. and i must say its quicker n less headache. before that though, i just decided to upgrade my OS straight n safe. i had Vista Home premium x86. but since have installed Vista Ultimate x64 and i got to say i love it :drool. i know alot of people have problems with vista. and i really dont get it. except for a few minor things here n there. i have never had a problem with vista. and thus is why i decided not to use the black eternity dvd. i have it incase i ever get bored. but i tried it with virtualbox and other than a few bottons changed. theres nothin in it that i couldnt and havent already done with my OS now. plus since the instalation of the new burner. i have downloaded and burned around 12 OS. Most of which are Linux. aaand that is a learning curve all its own. but im enjoying learning as much as i can about these machines n OS's. anyways. again i thank those who answered. to you n yours i wish all the best n happyness in life n internet.
