Trying to install SP2..

I'm trying to install service pack 2, but everytime I do, I get the send error report or don't send error report box. This happens when i go to the Windows Updates at microsoft.com, and then it searches for the available updates and stuff. It says there's a critical update, service pack 2, so i click install now and then the install service pack two box comes up. It initalizes the installation and then the box comes up, with no real error message. It comes up when the automatic updates is turned on too. I'm trying to update my comp but it's not working. Help Please?

 

If you visit this page, read it, and follow the instructions, the installation will almost certainly work for you. I've used the CD and followed the procedures outlined there on more than two dozen computers so far, and I've never yet encountered any problem.

Skip to the bottom and either GET THE FREE CD or download the Network Install from the links there, then follow through. You'll be free of the mess caused by the connection to Windows Update and the use of the Automatic Updates "feature."
