However it's not wanting to do so. Basically after I hit any key to boot from cd, I wait for it to finish loading. I then hit enter to install it but then the next screen doesn't bring up my partitions. Instead it says this.

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.

Setup cannot continue. Press F3 to quit setup."

Any idea why I would be having this problem? The hard drive is definitly connected properly as I am currently using this laptop to type this post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
    Thanks

I've fixed the problem. I had to disable some SATA feature in the BIOS.

Anyways, I've run into a different problem. My wireless internet will not work. I've downloaded some drivers for it and it looks to work properly, like it can connect to the router. I can only use the net while directly connected with a cable though.

I think I need to download the HP Wireless Assistant to get this working properly, however, their site supposedly offers it, but the download is messed up.

Does anyone have any idea of what I can do or am I screwed? :(
