trying to install xp problem. please help

    i am trying to reinstall xp on my hard drive but when i try to boot up i get a message (after found boot cd) i get an error message saying 'couldnt find ntldr'. then it asks me to reboot. so i cant install windows. anyone here know what the problem may be?

    How far are you in the installation?

    im not in at all. it wont let me boot from the cd because of that message

    Is your HDD an SATA?? If so you need sata drivers on floppy disk, during windows setup at bottom of screen you'll see press F6 for third party drivers, it flashes by quick if you miss ya have to run setup again.
