I reformatted my lil 20G HD using MaxBlast since it's a Maxtor HD, partitioned a primary drive of 6G for windows install and 14G as a logical drive. Did I do it right? Then when I put in the cd to start itsez, boot from Cd-rom...failure.. Someone have any ideas?

    Hi

Double check in your BIOS that the 1st boot device is the CDROM and also at times a reset of the BIOS CMOS is worth while too, easy way if your motherboard doesnt have a reset dipswitch is to pop out the motherboard battery for a few mins.

The try again to boot to the XP CD to continue the format and install.

Thanks Halo, I will try the reset. I did get WIN98 to load, first, but can't get past the welcome page, and it locks up. Guess, I'll reformat and try with the XP. It might work, will let you know.
