Trying to remove YTD toolbar

Hey guys. I switched YouTube downloaders--the one I got two years ago from CNET got corrupted at some point. Malwarebytes kept flagging .PUP things every time I let it update, and always another YTD toolbar comes with it.

I attempted using Control Panel to remove it, but per the pix attached, always get nowhere. I've no idea how to remove it from the list. I simply located all the YTD files manually and selected "delete permanently." Any help would be appreciated!

Also--just as a feedback--can't the MG fellows give the option to opt out of all the junk? I selected custom install and unchecked those boxes, but the rest of the following screens left me no choice if I wanted that freeware. Come on, I know businesses need to make money and they spent $$ to advertise, but coming alongside freeware is annoying!

Were you able to remove the toolbar?

 

Nothing seems to have changed. The path highlighted is apparently a dead end. Should I just do a file search?

 

Can you do a rollback to right before you installed the toolbar?

You can also go to add-ons in your browser and if the toolbar is there, delete or disable it.

Quite a few programs there. Get the one that's compatible with Windows 8? That's my OS. Already removed the toolbar from my internet browsers, so it's not showing up there.

Yes everything is cleared. That *Everything* is the fastest file tracker I've ever seen. Found about 9 more YTD files and deleted them, problem taken out.

In the future, when you download a program, after you check Custom and uncheck the boxes, make sure you pay attention to the following pages which say "change homepage or install other crap and click Decline.:wave

 

Hadn't realized I could choose "decline" on those pages without the installation canceling itself. I'll be sure to watch for that next time. Thanks again!
