Trying to set up a Slingbox with access point.

Spent 3 hours banging my head at a mate's place on this thing with little result.

I'm trying to set up a Slingbox for a friend's brother (he's in Mexico and we're in England). The wireless router/modem and TV point are in different rooms, and the Slingbox only has 1 Ethernet port, so we decided to go with connecting a wireless access point connected to the Slingbox.

Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able integrate the access point into the existing network. When I power up the AP I always see two different networks, one called WLAN (the existing network which all the computers in the house use for the Internet) and one with the name of the AP (Netgear WG602).

It's been suggested that I try changing the subnet mask on the AP to what the rest of the house is using, but it's always been the same. I also tried changing the IP address of the AP to be the same as that of the router, but no dice so far.

I'm really not sure what to try now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
