I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to set up one machine running Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server, to distribute not only files and mail, but also Internet signal to my other computers. I'd like to use the server's wireless card to pick up the wireless signal in my apartment building and pass it to the other computers through a router. I'd rather do it this way then install wireless cards in each computer. (I have 3 computers; one for personal, one for work, and one server, and I already have a router to use)

I'm not exactly sure what I need though. The server's wireless card picks up the signal and can get on the Internet, but I can't figure out if I need a special ethernet card to output the signal to the router and on to the other computers, or if I can use the regular ethernet card that is already built in. Then I believe I'll need to set up each computer within Exchange server and set permissions etc.

I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can offer, including whether there is a completely different and better way to do this. What I'm trying to accomplish is to set up multiple Exchange mailboxes so that I can have multiple calendars and tasks synchronized with each computer and ultimately my Pocket PC using Mobile Information Server or something.

    Thanks.

you would have to put two nic in the server (sounds easy) nic one would be wireless nic two would be wired. you would set a static route in the server between the two nics. each nic must be on a different subnet. nic two would be wired to an access point. no to the hard part. microsoft server does not do well in a multihomed environment. you have to set which nic is used for what service. meaning if a user requests an ip on one nic it is possible that the server will respond to the request using the other nic. in short turning your server into a bridge is not as easy as it seems. i would call tiger direct or pc connection. i know there is hardware out there to do what you want i just dont remeber where i saw it

Oh boy, I am pretty technical but that sounds over my head still. I will give it a shot though, thanks!
