    Hi!

    Scenario:
Let's suppose that I have a program running on PC: A, I lost the installer package, I want to run the program on PC: B, with all the settings and registry keys as if I installed it from the installer package.
    Can we do this?

I was thinking that if device driver files are able to be moved successfully (You know, DriverGenius, DriverMax, and other apps that allow us to take all our installed driver files and transfer them to other machines without the need for the installer package), then why wouldn't this be right for apps too?

    :confused

    Scenario:

Let's suppose that this program is freeware - then you can simply re-download it from the internet on to another computer.

Let's suppose it is shareware - one license, one computer.

MajorGeeks.com will not assist in the piracy of software. If this is not applicable to your situation, give further details - like the program name itself.

I understand what you are trying to say and I respect it.
I don't want to be a part in this piracy thing. So I will give more details about my situation.

    Full Scenario:

The program itself is not a freeware (you guessed it), and it's not a shareware (I guess). Actually, it's a customized application for a small enterprise. It's written only for that enterprise and it was bought legally from the programmer and all went OK. But the problem is that the program is very old and the only installer package I have was infected by the latest KB915865.exe (I wrote an article in Malware section) and it was completely destroyed. I have the program running on one machine and I need it to be run on another one, I'm also thinking about reinstalling Windows on the same machine so it will be wiped out.

So, as you can see, the question began as a complete scientific thinking (after seeing what DriverMax and DriverGenius are doing) and developed into wishing that there is a way to do this on software that you already have on your computer (already purchased).

PS: I know you'll suggest contacting the person who sold me the program, well, I already did. Believe it or not, he left for work in another country and will not be here soon. He is working on his own so there is no company or sales managers to contact. He is the only link to himself.

Thank you for wasting your time on reading this. I'll really appreciate it if you help me.
