I want to submit a sreenshot. I reviewed the instructions, and tried but received a message when trying to "upload" that the file was too big 1.16mb. How do I fix this?

    Thanks

    resize the image

The only way I've done it is gone back into a program where I can open the screenshot -- any picture program (Microsoft Picture It, for example) and find the file and "resize the image", save it again then come back on here and upload it after you've made it smaller. It has to be under 1 mb for sure -- maybe 75 something (kb?) oops, can't remember. If you click on your picture (screenshot) and hit properties it might tell you total size, or sometimes you have a photo program where you can actually tell it the total size you need it to be (adobe photoshop).

What program do you have to open the screenshot in (to open a photo in)?

Thanks for the help. I use Paint and I resized it.

I assume you're trying to upload a bitmap (bmp) file? Uncompressed images are bad.

Get a program like IrfanView and save the screenshot in .GIF or .PNG format.

If it's still too big, you can decrease the color depth to 256 colors, also with IrfanView.
