TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532R load problem

Can't access D:\ or use CD/DVDs. Message indicates device driver for TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532R can't load. Tried downloading updates, says this is the latest. Using Windows XP on an HP laptop. Please help.

Did this problem just spring up out of no-where? Was anything else going on before the problem started, like virus/malware problems, you just installed some hardware/software, just installed some updates, etc? A few things you can try would be to take a look at the Event Viewer (look at both the System section and the Application section) and look for any errors or warnings that started around the same time the problem started and post the details here. To get to the Event Viewer, right click My Computer and select Manage; the Event Viewer and its subsections can be found in the left pane. You can also try a system restore to a date before the problem started, or try a driver rollback. Anyway, please post answers to the questions I asked at the beginning of this post, then let us know if you try some of these suggestions and how they turn out. Good luck!
