Turn off on-screen keyboard?

How in the world do you turn off the on-screen keyboard?
The OS is Vista Home Premium. Every time I boot up the system, there it is...
Is there a way to disable, stop, or kill this????

look in Start>programs>startup>

if osk.exe is their remove it

start>type in msconfig & hit enter

go to startup tab look for something going to OSK.exe

post a screen shot so we can see if it is someother program doing it like the ease of access center

normally On-Screen Keyboard will not start up

& you should keep it, i use it each 2 days to enter my online bank ID & password

HI

Before resorting to msconfig do check in Ease Of Access first for it being enabled.

Start > Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center click "Use Computer Without a Mouse or Keyboard" and untick "use onscreen keyboard" > Apply.

Do you have a graphics tablet? as its normal for these to add onscreen keyboard, if you dont chekc that the TabletPC settings ahve not become activated by accident, again Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off > scroll down the list and once you see "Tablet PC Optional Components" untick the checkbox > ok

Also run your malware scanners as the odd worm can add OSK.exe to startup.

It must be the odd worm because I did all of the above and it still comes up on boot up..
