Tv capture and Audigy mute isssue - HELP - please its driving me crazy

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased logitech is it z530 5.1 surround sound speakers.
The goal using them on my Winfast Tv2000 pvr capture card..which doesnt recognise my dvd for direct burn option i might add..:cry
However my pc ECS m825ulr mobo didint support the 5.1 speakers with its inbuilt nasty but functioning Ac97 audio..O.k so i'll buy a 5.1 capable card.

I was going to buy a genius soundmaker for $25 nz but decided to go for the lusty sounds of a creative card. i chose the Creative Soundblaster Audigy se..for $69 (nz) was this a mistake..?:confused

The result is a audio that is nice 5.1 in games etc but the crux of the issue is i dont have anything to watch tv on except my P.C and old but nice NEC crt trinitron 21 inch monitor and when using the tv capture card it will mute the channel when it is changed to another station..
Now this is where it gets beyond my knowledge..if i open teletext the audio returns...you what...thats right..untill i change stations again.

I have tried all sorts of combinations of hardware and software settings input output changing cables at the back and devices to the tv card to know avail if i use the midi as an option i get audio with out issue but i cant adjust the audio other than to use the manual volume control on the speakers..i have no mute at all.

I have had a look a irq's and there doesnt seem to be any conflicts reported.
I have followed the manual and uninstalled the AC97 from the device manager and also disabled the onboard audio in the Bios.
I have verified the speakers are plugged in correctly and are configured /setup for 5.1.

The only thing i have left out of the equation is the good old Geforce 5900GS, the unit has a 420watt power supply and 512mb ram (DDR 333) Xp Sp2 and Nero did play havoc when i tried to use its inbuilt tv tuner option which was misbehaving not finding channels several months ago although i have searched for all nero products and removed them and reghacked the same as when i tried to uninstall it officially it left a hideous incd junk that i never touched and my dvd would dissappear..btw (expletive) nero..i had heard bad things from a tech about nero but ignored it, thought id have a play as the nerosoftware came with the dvd!

Can anyone offer assistance or point me in the right direction this is driving me crazy. If you have experienced the same thing or require more detailed information to help you help me please let me know.
