TV Out Problems

OK, first of all I'd like to clear that I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I thought it's worth a try. I've been having problems with my SiS 650 TV Out functions. I started using them only last week, having had my laptop for about 18 months now. It's simple enough, I connect it up, say how I want to display, and it does it. The problem however is when I try to change back from using the TV to the LCD as the display device. The taskbar changes to become much larger in size, and the icons on it become much more pixellated. In addition to this the tooltip font become larger and emboldened. I have tried searching the internet for some information on how to change this, but I can't find anything. Just now I have been using the system restore to put it back to before the changes, but it can be quite bothersome, and would like to know if anybody knows how to sort this problem. no, the only thing that has worked so far is system restore
