Prior to reinstalling windows XP everything worked fine. As far as my tv out goes anyways. I'm running 2 nvidia fx5500 cards. one with 2 monitors and one with one monitor and a tv. after OS reinstall(using the same driver file I downloaded before... 175.19_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql) my tv out is stretched double the height of the tv. i can only see the top half of that screen. I tried reinstalling the drivers but it didn't help. I seem to recall having this problem at some point before on some pc, but I can't remember how or even if I had fixed it.

Basically it seems to be scanning 2 lines on the tv for each line of pixels. not sure how that's even possible being that is would seem like it would scan the top half then the bottom half alternately and basically go haywire and not be readable at all. but it's only showing the top half, and it's showing it fine(other than the fact that it's covering the whole screen).

Also I should mention if i use that card as the primary the bios boot screen displays fine. So it's a problem that's only happening inside the OS

Further troubleshooting and I seem to have found a solution for the problem but not what I'm looking for. If I use the PCI(the one that has the tv on it) as the primary card the tv works fine in windows. but if I use the AGP as the primary(which I do for better performance) it messes up.

Does anyone know how to make this work with AGP as primary? windows 7 can do it and linux can do it(just couldn't get all 4 going kde at the same time, only 2). But i tossed 7 to the side till they get more updates. It keeps giving my computer seizures then locking up.
