    Im back!

Anyways, I've been looking to find a TV tuner recently. I plan on hooking my PC up to our TV so I can record TV shows and watch, play, pause and resume. However, I know absolutely NOTHING about TV tuners. So I was hoping someone could toss some helpful info my way? Price range is 175ish-200, looking for something to get the job done, I dont want too many extra features that I will never use.

I dont know if you know this site but videohelp.com has been an invaluable resource to me in vide/tv type related PC help. There is a forum on it that you could post and people will help, they also have a huge list of tv tuners with a price, description etc about them.

Didn't know about it. I usually come here for all my PC related needs :)

Looks good from what I've read so far, a tad confusing in the layout but still a fairly valuable resource.

I brought a Freecom DVB-T and Analog freeview USB Stick. A super thing, can record tv, forward and rewind through progs and so on. I have a digital and analog line going into it as well. Need a high spec machine to use it though, at the very least a 2.4 Ghz.

I recently bought the happauge WinTV-PVR 500 MCE and returned it. It's the only one I could find that had a dual tuner but mine had lines that ran through the broadcast and thus the return. From reviews I could not figure out if it was an actualy hardware or driver problem, or both. They have a single model (pvr 150 i think) that you can link up for the dual.
    Hope it helps

Currently I'm looking at the WinTV-PVR-150, but seeing as you've had that problem, I may end up doing a bit more research on it.

From what I understand the 500 was the one with the problem, due to either drivers or the change of their chip company. As far as I have read the 150 is rock solid and you can use 2 if you want to record and watch at the same time.
