TV Tuners

I'm interested in getting a TV tuner, but really don't have much of a place to start and don't know what to look for except a PCI interface and a remote. Whether it has a FM tuner doesn't matter. I can't exactly state a budget, either, but from just browsing on Newegg it doesn't seem like that would be a problem. Brands I have no idea.
Any suggestions? Brands? What to avoid?

While I'm making a thread, instead of posting another maybe you guys can also help with something else not-so-hardware related: a headset. Any recommendations, what to avoid, etc? I'm looking at the Logitech Premium USB Headset 350, but I haven't finished looking through them yet and am not confident about what to choose. Again, no idea about brand except that I know Logitech is quite reputable. I've looked at reviews and whatnot, but I thought I'd also get advice from another source.

Merry Christmas, even though it's probably "over" for most of you!! (or, to some, happy Crimbo!!)

Now that I've looked around more for a while, I'm thinking of getting the Hauppauge PVR-150MCE (model 1062, not 1042) TV tuner, which according to some reviews and the retailer's site is Vista-compatible (should I choose to get Vista later). However, I'm aware that the A/V cables aren't included.
Now I'm not that great with cables, but I'm assuming this is what's missing?

The external input cables (that go to the plugs on the back of the card) usually aren't included, right?
Also, is this a good choice on a TV tuner, or are there other recommendations people have? Preferably under $100 (otherwise I'd be leaning towards the PVR-500 for a dual tuner), includes remote, 3.5mm input, don't care about FM tuner.

As for the headset, I'm planning on getting a eDimensional AudioFX, which I've tried from a friend and like other than the silly LEDs. A good choice? Any alternatives people want to share?

I've not personally used this card, but I built an XP Media center PC for my nephew that used this version of the 150mce:

He has been very happy with it. Uses it as a TV tuner and as a capture device for Halo games and such.

I didn't have a lot of cash recently and wanted to outfit my secondary PC with video capture capability (to convert VHS home movies), and went with this option:

I use a 4-head Stereo VCR as a tuner. It works pretty well for me on a 1.8GHZ Celeron system with 768MB pc2100 RAM.

Just for general info, there are other options on the website I mentioned - I buy most of my computer stuff there. Good site.
