Tweaking.com fixed my original problem but now a new issue from running the program

Hi, I'm new here... this morning when I signed on I noticed the icon that shows my internet connection is no longer showing bars as it's suppose too, but it was showing a single gold star. I had disconnected and reconnected several times , I also did a trouble shoot and nothing I did helped. It showed me that I was connected when I open the customer wireless internet access box but for some reason the icon on the task bar was still showing a single gold star. I used the Tweaking software I saw on this site and that problem is now fixed. YAH!!! but now I'm having a problem with windows opening real slow when I open my browser and emails :-( What do I do now to fix this new issue?
Can someone help me fix this please?:cry

it listed 37 problems, I dont have the log and I dont know how to retrieve a copy from the program.

I looked in installed updates, and I am not seeing that one.. When running the updater its taking a lot longer than it usually does. I will run it and see what updates come up. I am set up for Important Updates only. This will take awhile, I am sorry, but I will be back.

I updated windows as you suggested and so far everything seems to be back to normal now.
