Tweaking program

I came across X-Setup yesterday, while reading old copies of Windows XP mag, Jan-06, p43.

X-Setup 6.6 (last freeware version) is a so-called 'tweaker' program; it allows you to change settings that are normally hidden deeply in Windows fast and easily. There are many hidden settings in Windows as well as in a lot of other programs and normally you can't change them.

X-Setup knows more than 1,600 of these settings and displays them in an easy to use interface, grouped by several aspects. Simply choose what you want to tweak, select the setting in question, make your change and hit the 'Apply' button. It's that easy.

HeyBAZZA i downloaded it and had a look but i don't think i dare to use it other than for testing, in the hands of a NOVICE like me it could be dangerous.

any tools i use have to be IDIOT proof.

Haven't installed it yet, myself.

If it is as powerful as they say (in the quote), a minimum of a Registry backup and creating a current Restore point before you start would be my recommendation.

If you use it only try 1 tweak, per day, and write down what you did.
Too many tweaks spoil the PC. Bazza
