Tweaking The GTX 550ti for diablo 3 ?

Ok so I just purchased the GEFORCE GTX 550ti thanks to the great suggestions I received in the hardware forums.

It is running amazing and it made diablo 3 playable ( before it was slow-mo 10 fps ) Now I have medium settings kinda on native widescreen resolution in game.

My question is the Nvidia Controll Panel eludes me in terms of understanding it all, I know about a few thing's under the settings but most I dont.


So my question is what can I do to the settings in the Nvidia controll panel to tweak my PC to get the max / best performance. The LOOK is secondary obviously to performance for me.

My system spec's so you can figure out if I can push the game to better performance at all by tweaking the settings.

Use this option it can adjust your fan speeds as well this is what i use.

I would not max out your video cards performance you can not get more then 60FPS any way on this card i would go no higher then 980 core clock and 2300 on memory clock if you go any higher then that then its kinda pointless.And you could burn out your power supply.And adjust your fans speed to 75% or if you don't mind the noise then go 100%.

 

Thanks golden but i was actually looking for more of a software tweak ( the settings in the nvidia controll panel, such as Negative lod Clamp // multi-or single display performance mode //// hq - qualityu - performance - high performance // etc etc and things along that line.

 

I don't even bother with them any more most of the time you don't need to.

Most online games have there own tweaks in game Try like ESC then Options.Then Video options in game.That's what i do for Star Trek online.With the GTX 550 the really only thing you need to worry about is the Fans Speed use the MSI afterburner for that.

And most regular games kinda have there own games video options

So use them.

Golden, have you ever had the issue with the GTX 550ti of the (( Pink Screen OF Death ))

I was browing youtube and my screen turned pink with some pixelation and the computer froze, I freaked so I powered down and turn it back on and there was no issue anymore.

I browsed the web on the topic and found on Nvidia thousands of people with this problem with the 550ti and the only solution was to rollback and clean install of previous drivers...

Was just curious if this has happened to you yet with this card..........

 

Nope not one issue with the card the only issue i had was if i max out the Overclock it would freeze up the computer other then that i don't have a single issue i keep my computer well maintained.I can even keep my GPU temp under 90F i think that's the problem like i said these GTX 550's tend too create lots of heat that's way i said to use MSI afterburner to control your temp on the card.Latest driver is working fine for me.Just uninstall it then reinstall the GPU's Drivers http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
