Two parter: System Restore and log-in

O.K. I restarted my computer today because I made some changes in the services.msc. When I got to the log-in screen I signed in and the computer sang its tune and said it was loading settings, and then nothing but blue. I waited awhile, rebooted, and it loaded. Later the same thing happened. Well, I updated drivers today so I figured that I might have made a mistake so I will simply restore to this morning before I updated them. Wrong answer. I tried to restore points. It goes through the motions, reboots, I see the blue screen after log-in for about 2minutes, and then System Restore tells me it is unable to restore my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the by all, I have fixed the log in issue. I dont know about the system restore issue since I have fixed the reason that I needed to restore.

 

Myself my system restore is shut off.Before doing any changes I back up my registry using Erunt 1.1j.hasn't failed me yet.
